1950s walnut writing bureau by Arthur Basil Reynolds

£425.00
sold out

A rare walnut writing bureau made Arthur Basil Reynolds for Lee Longlands of Birmingham, c1950s.

Beautifully crafted and full of early mid-century charm, this piece offers plenty of writing space with a drop-down front (key missing), as well as two drawers for storage. Each drawer runs smoothly and features the original turned knobs.

In good condition, it has been stripped and refinished. There is a small veneer chip on the left-hand side of the bureau and two of the turned knobs have been repaired (see last three images). The top also has stubborn mark. This has been reflected in the price.
